| I attended the American Film Institute from 1993-1995 in Producing and Directing. Durinng that period I produced 3 student films, directed 3 films, and art directed about 4 films over that time. The American Film Institute production curiculum is unique among film schools in that students work within well-defined production disciplines and in a structured crew environment to simulate the professional experience of real-world film production. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| BLOOD
OF THE ARTIST This dark vision which I wrote and produced focuses on the rise and fall of the artist Karl Savage and how his utter hopelessness and despair ironically transform into inspiration for an unusual new artistic direction. What started as a very self-serious drama was shaped into more of a stylized allegorey about the artist and his turning of suffering into inspiration. |

| DETOUR Unaware of the late 40's opus of the same name, I directed this producer-written project with the objective of capturing a dark, and haunting world of a Hollywood sexual harrasment come back to revisit a seemingly invincible film executive. What I liked most about this film is the expressionistic visual style of the piece, and the strong emotional center I found with the characters despite a fairly anti-climactic script. |

| A
BOWLFUL OF BISKIES Based on a story by a writer I could not remember from a book I owned when I was 12, I put the story back together from memory. A Bowlful of Biskies is the story of a teenager in a future society who doesn't fit in and finds that the reason is his failure to eat enough drug-laden cereal called Biskes and watch enough subliminal virtual TV. Once he discovers how this brave new world of the future holds together by chemical-behavioral means, he sets out to try and stop the powers-that-be with disastrous results. |

| BROKEN
ARROWS My first writing and directorial effort, Broken Arrows is the story of a native american man named Wilson Big Bear who while imprisoned begins a long correspondence with a woman outside he has never met. When he is unexpectedly paroled, he seeks her out and see what their relationship holds. |
