> EntertainNet
In 1996, "push" technology was all the rage. I was retained by EntertainNet, a startup backed by Bill Gross and IdeaLab to design an interactive prototype of what would be a "store-forward" multimedia entertainment service. This service would be delivered by the Internet to subscribers at night or while they otherwise were not at their computers. As EntertainNet grew after their first round funding, I worked as the Design Director for EntertainNet, designing and developing both feature and advertising content for the service.
The main interface: running in Marimba Castanet a push "receiver", the art-deco style marquis displays content "areas" over which icons of the latest shows of the week would appear. At the sides are volume, play, rewind, and jump controls.

RealGoods: In order to woo advertisers I developed several spec segments. RealGoods Catalog was one that I developed out of a desire to extend the new medium into the area of eco-friendly products.
Head2Head: A concept for using interactivity to organize a side-by-side comparison of two popular vehicles. The cars would change from week to week and the hope was to work with a partner such as Road & Track in developing the content on a weekly basis.

IKEA: The interactive catalog by IKEA featured a room where you could change out various pieces of furniture from the catalog to preview what they would look like in a virtual space.
